The quiet beach of Pori is located on the northeast coast of Santorini, about 7 kilometers from Fira and Oia. Its location is not far from the famous Koloumbo beach. Pori has a small port where local fishermen begin their daily journey to the sea and a small, secluded beach, a favorite spot for local families.
The beach has black sand, no deckchairs, or umbrellas. It is an ideal spot for visitors who prefer isolation and wish to avoid the crowded part of the island. Pori is a more traditional and still untouched part of the island located in a small distance from vineyards and the emblematic church of panagia tou Kalou (Virgin Mary of good) which was bulit when the Period of the volcanic eruption was concluded (1649-1650) and the underwater volcano of Koloumbos was formed. The curch is celebrated every year on the 15th August.
